This talk explores the nature of conflict and the relations between how it is articulated within an individual and within, or between, communities. While avant-garde art was once poised to heighten conflict and rupture, towards the building of new revolutionary paradigms through negativity and contrast (&quot;fligere&quot; &#8211; to beat or strike down), today art is often involved in building propositions on a local level as a form of collective therapy (&quot;cum&quot; &#8211; with), towards a healing of the disarticulations of the digital age and a new sense of the revolutionary process as poetic and embodied material.<\/span><br style=\"margin: 0px; padding: 0px;
