This show includes &lsquo;CE&rsquo;, the platform toy that has designers from around the world joining in the competition for surface design. We have 50 designs from overseas and 50 from local designers, making 100 models of 10-inch high designed by 5 Thai and 5 international designers, scattered around the festival. Other collaborations include Building Clouds &#8211; a combination of Thai textile and cement panels, ZIIB &#8211; an interactive communication board made of milk containers with robotic mechanic system, and 3-D graphic installation by a world-class typographer and illustrator.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThis year&rsquo;s Degree Shows chart the progress of Thai design graduates in terms of both, the quality of work and presentation at BDF. The festival&rsquo;s main partner SCG joins BDF2010 with the concept of future dwelling in an interactive exhibition. Both will be located in front of the office building of Central World. Inside Central World, BDF also provides spaces for a market for the creative community to release their energy both of the commercial and artistic kind. At SF Cinema complex the Design Film Festival presents 8 extra-ordinary films concerning various fields of design.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>\n\tAnother BDF hub is Bangkok Art and Culture Centre. A big installation by the Knotting Else group under the title &lsquo;Luk Yim&rsquo; will dominate the outdoor court of BACC, while the building&#39;s surface will show digital and animated works as part of the festival. Moreover, the off venue events are also interesting. Metropolitan Hotel houses Australian showcase, Grand Millennium Hotel show, furniture design from Denmark, whilst REZT &ndash; a new hotspot on Ekamai Soi 2 will host the first ever solo show of Super Machine. For party animals, Dudesweet organizes a special party on Saturday, 20th November 2010, the opening day of BDF.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>\n\tBangkok Design Festival first started since 2007 by a group of Architects, Designers, Business Owners and also government institution supported. They join in to make activities such as a product showcase, Semminirs, Exhibitions and Design film screening etc. Even though festival in Bangkok is in a smaller scale than in the foreign countries, we have set our standard very high.
