{"id":59277,"date":"2014-05-29T10:15:53","date_gmt":"2014-05-29T10:15:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bacc:8890\/events\/art-talk-2014-relational-aesthetics\/"},"modified":"2024-01-30T13:50:10","modified_gmt":"2024-01-30T13:50:10","slug":"art-talk-2014-relational-aesthetics","status":"publish","type":"event","link":"https:\/\/www.bacc.or.th\/en\/events\/59277","title":{"rendered":"Art Talk 2014 : Relational Aesthetics"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>\n\tArt with Rice Fields : relationship between life, society and art of Sakarin Krue-on<br \/>\n\tBy BACC Education Department, Bangkok Art and Culture Centre<br \/>\n\tTime:&nbsp;14.00-16.00 hrs.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<div>\n<div>\n\t\tBACC Art Talk 2014 series &quot;Relational Aesthetics&quot; aims to create a better understanding of contemporary art through a series of talks with artists, curators, critics and academics.<\/div>\n<div>\n\t\t&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>\n\t\tThe first talk of the series on 26 July 2014 is a talk by Sakarin Krue-on, a renowned Thai artist who is famous from using Thai&rsquo;s traditional agricultural culture &quot;rice farming&quot; as the motivation behind his works and creating a link between the society and the art.<\/div>\n<div>\n\t\t&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>\n\t\tSakarin Krue-on plays an important role in Thailand&rsquo;s art scene both as an artist and an art professor at the Faculty of Painting, Sculpture and Graphic Arts, Silpakorn University. His works often reflect the distinctiveness of Thai culture in various art forms and have been recognized in both local and international levels.
