\n\tPerformance Art in Modern Society – Live Performance Art as the Contemporary Art Work – Selecting Performance Art – Performance Art Activity in the International Scale

\n\t  <\/span>‘Performance Art’ might probably happen at everyplace and make at everywhere due to the situation and space. Playing in the space by the artists is the process of making the live performance art. The performance art is not the theater. The artist is not the actor. The story line does not follow the plot. These distinct paradigms of making the art are the performance art.<\/div>\n
\n\t  <\/span>In the modern society, performance art has been interpreted in many extensive ways but we still call it ‘Performance Art’. It’s a doubtful question that dose this art still be one of the processes of making fine arts? How do the performance artists make money from their work in this period? What are the criteria of selecting the performance art in the international scale? Why it is still be a dubious issue that this is a process of making performance art in Southeast Asia and this is a Western. “What are the lines?” How does the artist should do to make the international performance art? And what the audiences get from the show?<\/div>\n

\n\tRandy Gledhill :<\/strong><\/div>\n
\n\tRandy Gledhill is a Canadian artist, who renowned internationally for more than three decades. He works include performance, installation, public art commission, video, sculpture, critical writing, pedagogy, curation and cultural activism. He is current executive director and curator of Vancouver’s LIVE Performance Art Biennale, and also independently researching new global performance art manifestations, movements, and networks (www.livebiennale.ca)<\/div>\n
