The 29 November marks the International Women Human Rights Defenders (WHRD) Day. The Movement of Women Human Rights Defenders in Thailand would like to take this opportunity to organize a public discussion “An initial dialogue on CARE INCOME, Value and remuneration of the work by mothers and caregivers” on 29 November 2022, 13.00-16.30 at the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC).  This will be a space to discuss the importance and value of care work contributed by mothers and other carers, and to advocate for a constitutional amendment on the “remuneration of mothers and carers”. The event will raise the awareness of everyone about the value of care work as work that is valuable work and must be remunerated. It will be a chance for the Movement and our alliances to develop recommendations and plans to campaign for the vital issues to be addressed by political parties, media and the public.  <\/div>\n
