\nArtist Residency: Creation Process of Juggle & Hide<\/em><\/strong> In this work, Wichaya and the creative team attempt to explore the methodology and execution of auteurship in Wichaya's previous works, as a way to archive his artistic journey and eventually deconstruct the auteurship in question. They particularly examine the use of objects and things which are used to create and conceal meaning in Wichaya's works, as a central parameter in this particular piece.

\nFor What Theatre, in collaboration with DuckUnit, the Arts Activities Department of Bangkok Art and Culture Centre, Kyoto Experiment and The Japan Foundation. Supported by The Saison Foundation, presents ‘Artist Residency: Creation Process of Juggle & Hide<\/em>, a new work by Wichaya Artamat. This residency is part of the 12th Performative Arts Project by the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC).

\nOver three weeks at the BACC, Juggle & Hide<\/em> will undergo its final phase of the creative process before the world premiere of the performance at Kyoto Experiment in October 2023. The project will be open to the public on selected days, providing an opportunity to observe the process of exploration and development of the piece. Observers will also be able to engage in dialogue with the director and the creative team.

\nThe performance Juggle & Hide (Seven Whatchamacallits in Search of a Director)<\/em> was originated as a result of Wichaya’s reflections upon his past works and his critical examination of how he navigated, shifted, and imposed the meanings of metaphors associated with objects presented in his artistic endeavors. These metaphors, intricately intertwined with Thailand's political history, have in effect, led to the concealing of each performance's underlying message.<\/p>\n

\n‘Artist Residency: Creation Process of Juggle & Hide<\/em>’ will host weekly open public sessions to showcase the development of the creation process and engage in discussions and feedback with the public.
