\nWe invite a group of people who want to think together about the past to bring it in to the future.
\nEverybody at the table brings an image in from the Womanifesto archive as reference and to reflect on, and with pen in hand we draw. Together, we are reading into micro stories. It is reading by drawing and reflecting on the stories. With the pictures from the archive we remember and look together into the future. 
\n 
\nFor the public it can be read as a durational performance. For us at the table, it is just a Studio<\/em> situation, working and being curious to see where we arrive.<\/p>\n

After the exhibition we produce a piece of cloth from the drawing we have made by silk-screen printing, and all participants receive a copy of it. 
\nAll are free to do what they want with that fabric as a communicator.. make a t-shirt \/ blouse \/ dress or a tablecloth…
\nThe idea is to bring the story into the world, into everyday life, having it close to our bodies and into conversation.

\nLena Eriksson<\/strong>
\nLena Eriksson speaks drawing, video, performance. Since the beginning of her practice she has been interested in interdisciplinary collaborations with other artists, curators, scientists, chefs and authors. After her art studies she toured internationally with the project Artist on the road and the performance group GABI. At the exhibition space Kaskadenkondensator Basel, she organises performative  formats such as Galleryplay, Gallery Helga Broll, At home a guest, Holiday and neither related nor related by marriage, on artistic practice and artists' images, and conducts research in art spaces. Collaborating with Andrea Seamann and Chris Regen, she ran the independent art space Lodypop in Basel from 2004-2009 with the motto: Performance without Pressure and Projects without Panic. She has been working as a lecturer in the Masters programme in art at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts since 2015. She publishes for KAP, Neuland magazine and for Monday 2 Monday, a communication project with Varsha Nair. \nArahmaiani<\/strong>
\nOne of Indonesia’s most seminal and respected contemporary artists, Arahmaiani has long been internationally recognized for her powerful and provocative commentaries on social, political, and cultural issues. Born in 1961 in Bandung, Indonesia, she established herself in the 1980s as a pioneer in the field of performance art in Southeast Asia. Her early performance work started in the public area and dealt with social and political issues in the early 80’s when a military regime was controlling and oppressing her country. Later, she developed ideas dealing with environmental issues. The inter-active tendency in her performance work then developed into community-based performance and art projects. Her work has grappled with contemporary politics, violence, critique of capital, the female body and, in recent years, her own identity which although Muslim still mediates between Islamic, Hindu, Buddhist, and Animist beliefs.  She often uses her public presence in order to attract attention to violence in general, and violence against women or female discrimination in Indonesia’s Islamic society, in particular.  Since September 11, 2001, she combined her critical attitude towards Islam to also fight against its general stigmatization. She has been working with one of the oldest Islamic boarding-schools in Yogyakarta, Indonesia: Pesantren Amumarta since 2006, and since 2010 she has been working with Tibetan monks in Tibet Plateau on environmental issues. Since 2012, she has been teaching in the Department of SouthEast Asia, Passau University in Germany.<\/div>\n
