Artist: <\/strong>Asst. Prof. Dr. Apichart Pholprasert The natural environment is a source of aesthetic pleasure for the human mind and an inspiration for artists to create works of art in every era. The stressful lifestyle in urban society drives city dwellers to seek cheerfulness by connecting with nature, whether through traveling to natural destinations around the country and the world, or experiencing nature integrated into various urban locations, such as public parks, small garden corners in residences, or by simply gazing at the beauty of the sky above city buildings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n City Escape II: A Creative Journey, <\/strong>thus, conveys the experience of escaping the city to creatively engage with the beauty of nature, both by traveling to actual locations and through imaginative experiences, via the aesthetic essence of paintings that combine abstract and realistic expressions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The series “Impression of Monet\u2019s Garden at Giverny” added to the exhibition City Escape II, <\/strong>characterizes the continuous creative power resulting from my trip to Claude Monet\u2019s Garden at Giverny, France. Monet used this place as a creative haven during the last 20 years of his life, producing works of art that had a significant impact on the development of Western art and worldwide. The series of paintings in this exhibition is inspired by Monet\u2019s perception and interpretation of the garden’s beauty. Monet created his works with distinctive techniques and ideas differ from the main artistic influences of his time and achieve a unique expression of nature\u2019s splendor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Thus, the series of paintings in this exhibition is not a mere imitation of Claude Monet’s style and methods, but shares inspiration by the natural beauty and an aspiration to create provocative works of art with a personal aesthetic expression. The paintings freely integrate various painting techniques, cooperating traditional, modern, and contemporary methods. These techniques include pouring, dripping, and scraping acrylic and oil paints to achieve a beauty of abstract surfaces, as well as combining watercolor style blending with typical rapid brushstrokes of the Impressionists. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The paintings in this exhibition therefore embody an open-ended aesthetic operation which truly signify a creative journey <\/em><\/strong>of the artist.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Artist: Asst.
