Open Call for Young Art Critics<\/strong>
EYP#8 X Art Critics Project is a pilot initiative aimed at discovering 8 emerging art critics and redefining the role of art criticism in the Digital era. The program provides a platform for aspiring critics to showcase their reviews and engage in discussions about the works featured in the Early Years Project (EYP#8). Participants will enhance their writing and critical analysis skills while building networks between young artists and young art critics. The project also fosters public engagement with contemporary art through critical discourse, contributing to a more dynamic art ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eligibility & Application<\/strong>
Applicants must be 35 years old or younger, with no academic requirements. To apply, submit a one-page resume and 3 previously published or newly written articles on contemporary art published in print or online media by March 11, 2025. Selected participants will be announced on March 18, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Opportunities for Selected Art Critics:<\/strong>
– A workshop on contemporary art criticism led by Sorayut Aiemueayut, an expert in visual anthropology and a lecturer in the Media Arts and Design Department at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Chiang Mai University.
– A one-on-one collaboration with one of the 8 artists from EYP#8 to produce a new 800-word art critique in Thai (excluding references).
– Publication of selected articles in the EYP#8 catalog and on the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre\u2019s online platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
