Artists’ biography
Ekaluck Peanpanawate – Graphic designer and typographer. Ekaluck holds a BA in Communication Art and Design from School of Fine and Applied Arts, Bangkok University and MA in Creative Arts from the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Chulalongkorn University. His works were showcased in a numbers of exhibitions. Previous distinctive works include “Sounding Out Creativity” exhibit at the Bangkok University Gallery (2010), “Let’s Panic” exhibit at the Bangkok Art & Culture Center (2011), and “Wake Up Early” exhibit at the Buddhadasa Indapanno Archives (2011). Ekaluk currently holds the positions of Type Director for Cadson Demak in Thailand, Type Designer for t26 in the United States, and lecturer in Communication Art and Design at School of Fine and Applied Arts, Bangkok University.Kwanchai Lichaikul – Drawing artist who holds a BA in Thai Art from the Faculty of Painting Sculpture and Graphic Arts, Silpakorn University. Kwanchai’s works were featured in both group and solo exhibits such as “Bangkok 226” at the Bangkok Art & Culture Center (2008), “Ideal City” at Phuket 346 (2010), “Wonderful Thai Friendship” at WTF Gallery & Café (2010), “I Am Liu Xiaobo” at WTF Gallery & Café (2011), “Equilibrium” at Numthong Gallery at Aree (2012), and “Under Construction” at Numthong Gallery at Aree (2014) among others.
Lek Kiatsirikajorn – Photographer. Lek holds a BA in Painting from the Faculty of Painting Sculpture and Graphic Arts, Silpakorn University, with further education in photography from the Arts Institute in Bournemouth, England. His works were featured in local and international exhibits such as “Photoquai Photo Festival” at the Quai Branley Museum, France (2011), “Homo Empathicus” at Bredaphoto, the Netherlands (2012), “The Russian Moment” at the State Russian Museum, Russia (2012), “Lost in Paradise” at the Kathmandu Photo Gallery (2014), “Detour of the Ego” at the Bangkok University Gallery (2015), and “[un]forgotten” (2015) among others.
Nakrob Moonmarsnut – Graphic designer and illustrator. BA in Thai, Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University. Nakrob is an enthusiast in collage pieces that blend past and contemporary cultures. His illustrations were featured in various magazine publications – including Dichan, Giraffe, and various titles under A Book’s management. He was the winner of the ASEAN-Korea Multimedia Competition 2012 in South Korea (photography category) as well as Thailand Innofashion Award 2015 (leatherwear collection category).
Pairoj Teeraprapa – Graphic designer and typographer. Holding a BA and MA in Communication Art and Design, Faculty of Decorative Arts, Silpakorn University, Pairoj is an expert in applied Thai arts design. He is the founder of the Thai Inspiration Group, the SiamTypeTM Foundry, and a guest lecturer at multiple academic institutions. He received the 2014 Silpathorn Award in Graphic Design from the Office of Contemporary Art and Culture, Ministry of Culture.
Pichet Klunchun – Contemporary Thai dancer. BA in Dance from the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Chulalongkorn University. Distinguished as a director, choreographer, and dancer in various performances in Thailand and overseas, Pichet was the founder of the Pichet Klunchun Dance Company and winner of various awards – including the Silpathorn Award in Performance Arts from the Office of Contemporary Art and Culture, Ministry of Culture in 2006, the ‘Routes’ ECF Princess Margriet Award for Cultural Diversity from the European Cultural Foundation in 2008, Chevalier of the French Arts and Literature Order from the French Ministry of Culture in 2012, and the John D. Rockefeller 3rd Award from the Asian Cultural Council in 2013.
Pinit Phantaprawat – Engraving artist. Graduate of the Pohchang Academy of Arts. His works were featured in various exhibits – including the 8th to 11th Art Exhibition in honour of Her Majesty the Queen at the Montien Hotel (2003 to 2006), “Neo Black 2009” at Grand Hall River City (2009), the Bank of Thailand Art Association exhibit at the Bank of Thailand (2013), and the 4th White Elephant exhibit at the Bangkok Art & Culture Center (2015). Today, Pinit is working for the Bank of Thailand’s Note Printing Works.
Suebsakun Sarunpuet – Fine-arts photographer. BA and MA in Graphic Art from the Faculty of Painting Sculpture and Graphic Arts, Silpakorn University. His works were featured in local and international exhibits such as the International Print Exhibition Miniature 6 in Norway (1991), the Second International Biennial of Mini-Prints in Macedonia (2013), and “Ghost Stories ” at the Faculty of Art Gallery, Silpakorn University (2012). His body of work includes published academic writings and literature. Currently, Suebsakun serves as the head of the Mixed Media program’s founding committee at the Faculty of Art, Silpakorn University.
Ukrit Sa-nguanhai – Video artist. BA in Film and Digital Media from the College of Social Communication Innovation, Srinakharinwirot University. Ukrit’s Films were screened in numbers of international film festivals and art galleries in Thailand and around the world – including the Sarajevo Film Festival in Bosnia & Herzegovina (2013), “Sharjah Biennale” in the United Arab Emirates (2013), “CROSS_STITCH” at the Bangkok Art & Culture Center (2013), and “Proximity” at the 10th inSPIRACJE festival, National Museum, Szczecin, Poland (2014).
