RASIGUET SOOKKARN (Production Designer)
After graduated from the Faculty of Architecture, Chulalongkorn University, Rasiguet Sookkarn worked as an advertising art director for one year before deciding to follow his dream and become production designer for Thai independent films. His first work as a production designer was “Always”, a short film by Sivaroj Kongsakul. He then went on to work for Aditya Assarat’s full-length feature with “Hi-So” before another collaboration with Sivaroj in 2011 with “Eternity”. From then on, Rasiguet has been working in many acclaimed independent films including “36”, “Mary Is Happy, Mary Is Happy”, “Snap”, “Motel Mist” and “Pop Aye”, a Thailand-set, Singapore-backed drama which won the World Cinema Dramatic Special Jury Award for Screenwriting at the Sundance Film Festival 2017.
It takes Rasiguet less than ten years to prove that he is the one to watch. His production design works have been acknowledged both nationally and internationally. He won the Thailand National Film Association Awards for Best Art Direction twice from “Snap” and “Motel Mist”. - Archival History
