The Art Library provides books and magazines on contemporary art, as well as a collection of contemporary Thai exhibition catalogues.

The library features reading areas, workspaces, and relaxation zones for visitors. Additionally, it includes a Kid’s Corner offering children’s storybooks and a space for families and children to spend time together.

Library Rules

  • Bottled Water with a Secure Lid is Allowed in the Library.

  • No Loud Noise
  • No Sleeping in the Library
  • No Commercial Use of the Premises
  • No Eating in the Library
  • No Inappropriate Behavior
  • No Weapons or Sharp Objects Allowed
  • Video Recording is Not Allowed in the Library Unless Special Permission is Granted

Loan Regulations:

  • Membership: No registration fee. Please present your original National ID card when applying for membership.
  • Book Deposit: A refundable deposit equivalent to the book’s price must be paid upon borrowing (e.g., a £100 deposit for a £100 book). This deposit will be refunded in full upon the safe return of the item.
  • Loan Limit: Up to 5 items.
  • Loan Period: 7 days per item.
  • Renewals: 1 time (for an additional 7 days).
  • Overdue Fines: 5 THB per day for late returns.

Eligible for Loan

  • General collection items with a value not exceeding 2,000 THB.

Ineligible for Loan (Reference Only)

  • Items valued over 2,000 THB.
  • Reference materials, including Dictionaries, Encyclopaedias, Exhibition Catalogues, Magazines, and Periodicals.
  • Audio-visual materials, such as CDs and Vinyl records.
  • Items without a listed price, irreplaceable items, or non-circulating multi-volume sets.

Note on Damaged Items: If an item is returned damaged, a repair fee starting from 250 THB per volume will be charged.

A renewal extends your loan period by an additional 7 days.

Terms & Conditions

  • Items may be renewed only once.
  • The 7-day extension begins from the date the renewal is processed.
  • Renewals must be requested on or before the due date. (For example, if an item is due on the 7th, the renewal must be completed by the 7th. If the due date has passed, the item cannot be renewed, and an overdue fine of 5 THB per day/volume will apply.)

How to Renew

1. Online Renewal (Self-Service)

  • Log in to the Library System using your membership ID at: https://elib.bacc.or.th/
  • Select “My Loans”.
  • Select the item(s) you wish to renew.
  • Click the “Renew” button.

2. Via Email

  • Requests must be sent before 18:30 during counter service hours.

3. Via Telephone

  • Call: 02-214-6630-8 ext. 126
  • Requests must be made before 18:30 during counter service hours.

Examples

  • Scenario A: If you borrow a book on the 1st, it is due on the 7th. If you renew it on the 7th, the new due date will be the 14th.
  • Scenario B: If you renew it early on the 6th, the 7-day extension starts from that day, making the new due date the 13th.
  • Scenario C: If you attempt to renew on the 8th, the request will be denied as the item is already overdue.

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the library.

  • Each access code is valid for 8 hours of continuous use.

The library provides 5 computer workstations for public use.
