MAHSURI SEVEN GENERATION CURSE
organized by SUANSUNANDHA RAJABHAT UNIVERSITY
It is to present the historic legend of Langkawi Islands of MAHSURI Princess in 2362 B.E., 1819 A.D., 1235 H.E., or 37 R.E. The unreasonable justice sentenced her to death penalty. However, before her death, she gave her word, “If I am innocent from what I am excused, my blood shall come out white.” From that tragedy, the consequent catastrophes had been occurring on Langkawi Islands, Kedah, Malaysia for 7 generation. Recently, Malaysia has found Siritra Yayee, the 7th generation of MAHSURI Princess who is capable of solving the curse and revealing a brighter side to Langkawi Island and also civilizing legendary Muslim belief in promise on this island.
The cultivated cultures and traditions are presented through “the vocable museum" by applying performing arts of Malaysian and southern Thai cultures to be a learning method that beneficially attaches Malaysia and Thailand and urging the interest in cultural tourism from the living legend.
