The Faculty of Fine Arts, Chiang Mai University has the Arts Academic Exhibition on occasion of 30th anniversary of The Faculty of Fine Arts at Bangkok Art and Culture Centre April 5 – May 27, 2012. Opening Reception on Thursday May 3, 2012 by Prof. Emeritus. Dr. Kasem Watanachai, Privy counselor and chairman of Chiang Mai University Council will preside over the event.
Assoc.Pongdej Chiayakut, Dean of Faculty of Fine Arts, Chiang Mai University, the exhibition is intended to publish academic of contemporary art, design and academic research and conservation of local art to students and other interested parties. The agenda was to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Faculty of Fine Arts.
The exhibit includes the work of academic lecturer and senior lecturer faculty of Fine Arts Painting, Sculpture, Mixed media, Graphic design, Art and Photography, Performing arts and study research and other etc. This exhibition is the work of the Faculty of Fine Arts 48 peoples Thai Department 7 peoples Printing, Painting and Sculpture Department 27 peoples Media Arts and Design Department 7 peoples and senior lecturer 7 people.
On 3rd May,2012 15.30 -17.30 p.m will talk about "Poi Sin Thin Lanna (Bannock Khao Krung)" that is art presentation puppet shows and dance in local Lanna by lecturer and professional culture of the North.
This exhibition is the mission of the Faculty of Fine Arts. In addition to college education and vocational education of the arts Production of creative work and research in the field of arts and culture for support about learning academic services to the arts and culture and participatory with community. An exhibition of fine arts of the encourages lecturer to develop creative works of art and works of other academic and disseminate knowledge to students and academic and artistic interests. This exhibit be in line with the Education Development Plan, phase 11 (ฺB.E. 2555-2559) and strategy of the faculty of fine arts. The development of a quality education, creative development and research in the field of art and presentations to internationally academic services to the arts and culture and cultural preservation traditional Lanna art. The exhibition will be show again at Chiang Mai University Art Center.
