SIAM SINFONIETTA • OFFICE OF CONTEMPORARY ART AND CULTURE • PROJECT SIAM RENAISSANCE present INTRODUCING THE SYMPHONY PART ONE, a free concert with Haydn: Symphony No. 100 in G, "Military" Beethoven, Symphony No. 4 in B flat
The Siam Sinfonietta, Thailand's eminent new youth orchestra, presents a series of concerts introducing "The Symphony" with an emphasis on families, young people, and people new to classical music.
In each programme, the young orchestra plays complete symphonies with commentary, anecdotes and discussion with Maestro Somtow Sucharitkul who will also conduct. The concerts also introduce the instruments of the orchestra and the young performers who play them.
Here's a chance to listen to whole symphonies live with entertaining and educational commentary, played by some of the country's brightest young musicians.
We are trying to keep this a free series, but there are of course many expenses involved in a symphony concert. Donations are gratefully received and will go towards the Bangkok Opera Foundation's programmes for youth.
The BACC is easily reached from the Stadium BTS station.
