AVATAR DVADAS, the Third Episode : Scorpio

The Third Episode (first two can be viewed on Youtube) of Avatar Dvadas is about Scorpio … the arachnid … and in celebration of the robot exhibition at the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre, Somtow Sucharitkul is creating an "alien opera" to be performed on the premises. "Scorpions, spiders and insects often represent 'the other' to science fiction writers and are often the analogue for the extrapolation of alien species." So this time, the team of Siam Philharmonic, Bangkok Opera, and Fong Naam will create a completely alien opera.

It's a meta-symphony being created right in front of your very eyes and ears, music woven out of the very fabric of Bangkok's newest hub of creativity. The piece is designed for Bangkok's Art and Culture Centre, using all the spaces, shapes, and angles to be found within it. "Bangkok: Twelve Incarnations" celebrates a city that is constantly reborn
