The seventh edition of the Science Film Festival in Thailand is an officially associated partner event the United Nations and its International Year of Forests 2011. Due to the extreme flood situation in Bangkok and several participating provinces, the Science Film Festival in Thailand could not proceed
as scheduled from 16 – 30 November, 2011, but was ptakes place at the National Science Museum Thailand Klong 5, NSM Science Square, the Science Center for Education, the National Science and Techno
Science Park, TK park: Central World, Level 8, Dazzle zone, the Thai Film Archive and Esplanade Cineplex Ngamwongwan – Khaerai and the IPST Traveling Science Film Festival collaborates with 15
Science Center nationwide.


With over 130,000 visitors last year in Cambodia, Indonesi Vietnam, the festival strengthens its position as the most visited event of its kind in the world
demonstrates internationally the meaningful position science literacy and seeking contemporary education approaches through film and television combining entertainment and learning holds in
Thailand and the ASEAN region.

In 2011 the festival received over 150 entries from 18 countries, of which 26 films from 7 countries screened at the festival in Thailand. The explaining the world in a fun way to a young audience. However, the festival also presents films for audiences of all ages in the categories of and Technology” and "Culture and History"
