The European Union Film Festival 2010
The European Union Film Festival 2010 will take place at the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre on 21 – 31 October. This year's festival will feature 19 high-quality films by some of the best European directors from 15 European countries. The films, which include comedies, love stories, dramas, thrillers and adventure, are shown free of charge. On 23 & 24 October the there will also be a mini European food fest at the BACC to expose more of European culture to the Thai public. It will be a fun and delightful event that will appeal to people of all ages!

The director Friedrich Monroe has trouble with finishing a silent black & white movie about Lisbon. He calls his friend, the sound engineer Phillip Winter, for help. As Winter arrives in Lisbon weeks later, Monroe has disappeared but has left the unfinished film behind. Winter decides to stay, because he is fascinated by the city and the Portuguese singer Teresa, and he starts to record the sound for the film. At the same time Monroe cruises through the city with a camcorder and tries to catch unseen pictures. Later they meet and Winter convinces Monroe to finish the film.

It is 1912. In a small town's parish school run by priests the pupils are overcome by a strangely overwhelming rowdiness, leading them to come up with outrageous pranks. The school welcomes a new teacher, Father Weigl, who is aghast at his colleagues' liberal approach to the excessively bad behaviour of the teenage pupils. Father Zoltán, the former master, pays less and less attention to the events taking place right around him. His younger brother, deafened in a boxing match, was on his way to Boston for surgery at Father Zoltan's urging. The brother was aboard the Titanic, which collided with an iceberg. The official report on the injured and casualties is yet to be released.

A man of science, teacher of medicine at the Bologna University, he was forced to stop teaching in 1325 after he held lectures on the ‘commento alla Sfera del Sacrobosco'. Accused of heresy by the Inquisition, he was condemned to death in 1327.

Camaraman illuminates a unique figure in British and international cinema, Jack Cardiff, a man whose life and career span nine decades of cinema history and whose credits stretch to over one hundred movies. The word "Legend" is all too frequently used in Hollywood, yet Jack Cardiff's story surely proves him truly worthy of that title. Jack was awarded an honorary, Lifetime Achievement Oscar in 2001. He died, aged 94 in April 2009.
