Having successfully done the press conference of “Thailand Jazz Competition 2013”, which was organize by the Faculty of Music, Silpakorn University. Coming up a good news of a challenged STAGE, a remarkable Jazz-Band competition, the only one stage in Thailand. To win the 8th King’s Cup and other rewards which totaled more over 400,000 Bath.
To be one of the representatives and participated as a part of the jazz genius of His Majesty the King, also making standard of jazz music in Thailand with another country. So come and get ready to join us for the coming up Jazz Band Competition 2013. Competition will be judge in 3 genres, Jazz Ensemble Competition, Jazz Woodwind & Brass Competition and Jazz Composers Competition. Moreover, our representative role model of Jazz music, Mr.Sekpol Unsamran or his well-known nickname "Koh Mr.Saxman" will come and join for a play of Saxophones with “Jazz Bo”, the winner band from “Thailand Jazz Competition 2012”.
Mr.Sekpol Unsamran or "Koh Mr.Saxman" said, I am so proud to be a part of “Thailand Jazz Competition 2013”. Jazz is a creative type of music and the live show is different from other style, so this is a good supporting opportunity for musicians who really love in Jazz music. In addition, I think this is going to be a good experience stage for every Jazz musician, and I also highly wanted to see a new born star of Jazz musician, who is going to be a remarkable well-known in Jazz music for all over the world”
Mr. Wootichai Lertsatakit , the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and a President of operations Thailand Jazz Competition 2013 said, “We classify in 3 types for the 8th Thailand Jazz Competition 2013, : Jazz Ensemble Competition, a genre of band competition, 4-6 members, choose one regulative jazz song and another one free style jazz music. Woodwind & Brass Competition, a genre of blowing saxophone, choose one regulative jazz song. And the last one is Jazz Composers Competition, a song composing competition genre, which is convenient for a small Jazz band group. In addition, to promote the event, there will be Road-Shows of Jazz Music show by Professors and students from the Faculty of Music and The winner of Thailand Jazz Competition 2012 in many locations.”
