BACC Art Talk 2014 : Relational Aesthetics

Bangkok Art and Culture Centre invites those who are interested in art to join Bacc Art Talk 2014 “3rd Relational Aesthetics”  It’s a talk with an artist and a curator from 55th International Art Exhibition la Biennale di Venezia. Arin Rungjang  (Artist) and Worathep Akkabootara (Curator) in the point of art, that can be related to the society. Art is the centre that sends and receives the cultural and aesthetics aspects that human can make senses.
 
Arin Rungjang is a Thai artist who began art from his interests in the society. He abandoned the work of art by representing ideas.  He started his artwork on display since he was a student. He was chosen to be an artist called "the BranNew" for an art project in 2004 by Bangkok University. After he graduated, he was invited to show his art work to many countries such as Singapore (2004), Italy (2011), Austria (2012), China (2012), New York, USA (2012) etc.
 
Worathep Akkabootara is a curator and an art critic. He co-organized and co-curated exhibitions such as Safe Place In The Future (Dystopia Now, Utopia Never) at  The Jim Thompson Art Center and Museam of Contemporary art at De La Salle College of Saint Benilde (2013), Graduated Emergence, Number 1 Gallery and Something To Talk About with Digital signal processing (DSP), Speedy Grandma (2013).
 
Nowadays, he is studying at the Faculty of Sociology And Anthropology, Thammasat Univesity. In addition to this, he is an art book editor and is now writing articles and critiques such as Art Square (2012-present), Fundamental Chemistry of As  Yet  Unnamed in Post-Alternative Space in Asia cooperating with David Teh, VT Art Salon, Taiwan (2007), Symptom of Cohabitation, Let’s Make Sense, West Gallery (2012) and “Tour” Bookazine of photograph with Kornkrit Jianpinidnan (2014)
 
The Seminar will be in Thai without translation
