BACC Art Camp 2015 Exhibition

Organized by BACC Education Department, Bangkok Art and Culture Centre
Opening ceremony on Friday 17th July 2015 at 17.00 hrs.

BACC Art Camp 2015 has been created under BACC’s vision to offer an art space for 5-to-10-year-old children to enjoy art activities during their summer holidays. The objective of the Camp is to encourage children to exercise their imagination and creativity, as well as to learn the fundamental skills of art creation. Children will experience creating art through a variety of activities that are held in the camp. Each activity aims to be fun and foster critical thinking, allowing the children to freely express and develop their work to degrees deemed ideal for each age range. Focusing on spurring critical thinking and creativity, the camp has generated a number of works which although perhaps not offering the highest aesthetic pleasure, will display the original efforts of the children’s immediate experiences – an initiative that leads to long-term growth and development.

Every piece is original and reflects the young artist’s spontaneity. This can range from their personal preferences and immediate choices, to an impression of the camp which is then rendered into actual works by using particular artistic techniques suggested in the activity. The result is an extraordinary self-reflection of the young artists.

BACC Art Camp 2015 Exhibition showcases artworks by 23 young artists from BACC ART CAMP 2015 by Chalit Art project during 21-25 April 2015. The techniques used include painting, sculpturing, three-dimensional art pieces to typography.
