EXODUS: THE 13th INTERNATIONAL BUTOH FESTIVAL THAILAND 2018will take place in thecapital of Thailand, Bangkok, December 5-15, 2018 at the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre as part of thePerformative Art Festival. The featuredartistsforthisyear’s event are Store House Company (Japan), Ledoh (IndigenousKaRen Myanmar/ US), FUJIEDA Mushimaru (Japan), YukoKawamoto/AsiaButoh Tree Project (Japan) andKanazawaButoh Kan (Japan) featuringButoh performances and workshops. Film screening of rare earlyworks of Butoh co-founder, KazuoOhnoand his sonYoshitowith symposium hostedby John Solt (USA).

Exodus is a Greekwordmeaning ‘departure’. It is alsothe second book of theandthe Old Testament telling thefounding story of Israel of howtheIsraelitesweredeliveredfromslaveryand led out of Egypt by Moses towander in thewildernessbeforereachingthePromised Land.
