THICH NHAT HANH—Celebrating Life
A Celebration of Spirituality, Poetry, Music and Calligraphic Art
A precious moment to celebrate the unique presence on the Buddhist World stage for more than 50 years of our beloved Teacher, a zen matser Thich Nhat Hanh who established Plum Village Practice Center in France.
Calligraphic Meditation: The Mindful Art of Thich Nhat Hanh, showing at The Bangkok Art and Culture Centre, is the Venerable Zen Master’s second exhibition in Thailand. However, this is the first exhibition that combines both Thay’s books and calligraphies being presented in the world, especially in Asia—a landmark event in the history of the Plum Village tradition. More than 600 books with many different languages and 73 legacy calligraphies were carefully selected will be presented in this exhibition.
As you know our Teacher is 93 years old this year. Despite of his health and physical limit, Thay still cherishes and enjoys life in every breath. In this spirit, the theme for the exhibition is ‘Thich Nhat Hanh—Celebrating Life, a celebration of Spirituality, Poetry, Music, and Calligraphic Art.’
On this special occasion, Plum Village Foundation Thailand would joyfully like to invite our friends to join us in this event, where we will come together as a sangha to celebrate life. The exhibition will be held from Jan 23 to Feb 17, 2019 at the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre.
Please note the exhibition has no entrance fee and it’s closed on Monday.
