In Our Voices: Health & Resilience along the Thailand – Myanmar Border

By SEAJunction with Mahidol-Oxford Tropical Medicine Research Unit (MORU)

The multimedia exhibition "In Our Voices" shows the realities of migrant women and children in the Thai-Myanmar border area and their vulnerable conditions and exposure to malaria and hepatitis B. It also introduces participatory health research processes, and the importance to involve the community to get their insights and strengthen their capacity, and community social support mechanisms.  To do so, the exhibition combines photos, drawings, and other visual material. The photos were taken by the frontline health workers, and public engagement team, showing these communities' daily risks, burdens and hardships. The paintings are instead made by the community members themselves and show their experiences and their resilience and ability to overcome daily challenges.
