By Bangkok Art and Culture Centre and Performing Artists’ Network

BACC Performative Art Project # 11
August – December 2022
Studio, Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC)

Bangkok Art and Culture Centre in partnership with Thai performing artists is proud to present creative performances in various forms. BACC Performative Art Project #11 aims to promote the sharing of knowledge, ideas, and experiences as well as encourage dialogue between performing artists and the public. The festival will take place from August – December 2022.

This year, apart from national festivals and various types of performances from Thai artists, BACC Performative Art Festival # 11 had announced a call for performances on environmental issues. This initiative coincided with BACC’s “CROSSOVER II: The Nature of Relationships” exhibition which explores the artists' perspectives on the tangible and ethereal spatial surroundings, the relationships between the artists and surrounded context, and human behaviours. The selected performance is “Monrak Transistor” by Teeraphan Ngowjeenanan. Another highlight for this year’s festival is “nowhereland. : THE EDEN” created by nowhereland.

BACC Performative Art Project # 11 also features performances from Bangkok Theatre Festival 2022 (20th Anniversary) Re-imagine and “Cloud State” by B-Floor Theatre and TU Theatre. These performances are conceived and produced by the groups of artists who have consistently created new works every year. This continuity helps cultivate and nurture Thai performing arts as well as foster and expand audiences which is an important part for Thai performing arts scene.

Bangkok Art and Culture Centre is pleased to continually work with all Thai performing artists who have been unswervingly creating and producing works throughout the years. We are honored to support their works through various performances to the audience with an aim to promote and reflect diverse societal messages reflected by these performances.
