Exhibition Talk Anima : Unpacking the Philosophical Dimensions of Animation

Bangkok Art and Culture Centre invites you to explore the truth of “Animation” through a philosophical lens with Sorawit Songsataya, an artist residing and working in New Zealand. He is one of the artists featured in the "Orbiting Body" exhibition, with the work Mnemosyne, 2022. This event aims to provide an understanding of the processes and works of artists who work in an transdisciplinary and integrative manner. It will also explore how the beliefs, rituals, and ancient cultures of the Aotearoa people are integrated within the context of contemporary art in New Zealand, comparing it with contemporary art in Thailand. The discussion will be led by guest curator Mary Pansanga to compare the similarities and differences in the landscape of media art between Thailand and New Zealand.
