Exhibition Lecture – Promptography vs Photography: How AI Will Define the Future of Image-making

AI is a revolution in technology that, like industrialization and digitization, will impact all areas of life. The momentum with which AI is improving and changing the way we live and work is impressive. What photography will still be in the future will not be defined by the medium itself, but by AI. Boris Eldagsen has been experimenting with AI Image generators since the beginning and was the first in the German-speaking world to develop a workshop on AI-generated images. 

In this lecture he gives an overview of the current state of technical development and its impact on photography and society. He will explain why AI-generated images are not photography (despite their appearance), why he considers image generators to be knowledge amplifiers – and uses his own examples to show how AI can be applied creatively.
