In Remembrance of Ajarn Tong Kraisak Choonhavan

Bangkok Art and Culture Centre invites you to a gathering filled with conversation, music performances, and poetry readings in honour of Ajarn “Tong” Kraisak Choonhavan, on the occasion of his birth anniversary (8 October 1947 – 11 June 2020).
The event will take place on Tuesday 8 October 2024, 16.00 hrs. onwards at Multi-Function Room, 1st Floor, Bangkok Art and Culture Centre.

Though it has been four years since his passing, Ajarn Tong’s contributions continue to resonate across many sectors, including society, environment, human rights, and the arts. He played a pivotal role in advocating for the creation of the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre, which has become one of Thailand’s key spaces for contemporary art and cultural learning.
Join us to remember and strengthen the bonds among friends, fostering conversations and continuing the values that Ajarn Tong dedicated his life to championing.
