Art Festival, Market, Talks, Books, Music, Theatre, and Beer

B-Floor Theatre and Dinsorsee Group in collaboration with the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre present “OCTOBERFEST.”

Bangkok, Thailand – B-Floor Theatre and Dinsorsee Group, in collaboration with the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC), invite you to the special festival “OCTOBERFEST,” which will take place on Saturday-Sunday, October 5-6 and 12-13, 2024.

The Origin of the Festival

“October Fest” was created to question the events and memories of October, a month of significant importance in Thailand’s political history. We cannot forget October, as we recall key political events such as the uprisings on October 14, 1973, and October 6, 1976. Every year, we continue to honor those who sacrificed for democracy, while the pain of these events still lingers, serving as a reminder for society to explore and learn from.

Our OctoberFest invites participants to explore and experience new perspectives on these crucial historical moments—events we cannot forget, yet may not wish to remember—through artistic and thought-provoking performances that challenge traditional narratives. Inspired by the famous German beer festival, we’ve mixed celebration and laughter with Thailand’s historical and political context, presented through art performances and activities designed to make participants reflect, laugh, and confront a broad range of memories and emotions.

“OCTOBERFEST” celebrates October through art and theatre performances by B-Floor, along with exciting market stalls, talks, music, and workshops across four full days at Studio 4, Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC).
