‘Work From Home’ or working from home is the terminology everyone is familiar with nowadays. The change of working style has begun since the Covid-19 pandemic.  Working from home has become a new normal for many people. And for many, work from home means convenience, cost saving and living a life while working.  There is another group of people, however, who also work from home and their houses have completely become a workplace.  They are known as ‘Home Based Workers’.

The exhibition ‘Work From Home’ presents the stories of home based workers who are working from home doing sewing, weaving and netting. The exhibition reflects the way of life, issues and situations of home based workers who encounter indecent work, low wages, long working hours, health and safety concerns and with little bargaining power.

Exhibited through photos, infographics, display of occupational equipment and tools and a discussion on ‘Work Life Flow: Home Based Workers’

Organised by the Foundation for Labour and Employment Promotion (HomeNet Thailand) in collaboration with the Association of Informal Workers Networks (Thailand). Since 1992 we have been working to improve the quality of life for workers in the informal sector through organising, economic empowerment, access to occupational health and safety and social protection as well as advocacy campaign for policies and labour law protection.
