“Nature gave birth to us, and we discovered plastic. If plastic is our child, and these materials are our “mother,” how do we perceive them?” – Choi Jeong Hwa (an artist from Bangkok Art Biennale 2024)

Bangkok Art and Culture Centre, in collaboration with Bangkok Art Biennale Foundation, invites children, families, and the general public to relax and join in Kid’s Calendar 2024: Collecting The Art Words X BAB 2024 activity for October under the theme You Are My Sunshine by Choi Jeong Hwa: BAB2024 – Nurture Gaia. This art project aims to raise awareness of the deep philosophical value and meaning behind the relationship between humans, nature, and plastic. Participants will also have the opportunity to create artwork together with internationally renowned artist Choi Jeong Hwa, a South Korean artist and designer whose work moves between the disciplines of visual art, graphic design, industrial design and architecture. from the Bangkok Art Biennale 2024.

Each participant’s artwork will be part of the project “You Are My Sunshine” by Choi Jeong Hwa, which will be exhibited at the Sustainability Expo 2024 (SX 2024), the largest sustainability expo in the region.
