BACC GALA 2024 “REFLECTION”

The Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC) cordially invites you to the BACC GALA 2024 fundraising event, presented as a gala dinner for the second time under the theme “REFLECTION.” This theme encapsulates the role of public art institutions and contemporary art in Thailand. Over 20 contemporary Thai artists will produce works that examine the multifaceted contexts of BACC, inspiring new possibilities and showcasing the power of art as a reflective tool on existence and the aspirations for the future of contemporary Thai art. For more than 16 years, BACC has stood as a pivotal art and cultural hub, serving as the ART CENTRE.
This exclusive event will feature a distinguished auction of collaborative artworks by 10 pairs of artists, showcasing their first-ever joint creative process. Attendees will also enjoy a meticulously curated five-course dinner by Michelin-starred Chef Prin Polsuk of “Samrub Samrub Thai,” which reflects the culinary heritage of Thailand’s four regions. The dishes will harmonise with the creative themes of the artworks. Complementing the dining experience, “Opium Bar” will collaborate with “KOSAPAN,” a community-distilled liquor brand, to present signature cocktails that capture the essence of Bangkok, all within a uniquely designed atmosphere created by PHKA Studio.
Proceeds from the auction will directly support BACC’s 2025 operations and provide critical funding for rotating exhibitions, cultural projects, and art education initiatives. This event will contribute to enhancing the centre’s operational standards and exhibition curation, helping Thai contemporary art engage and inspire the 1.8 million visitors BACC welcomes annually. We are confident this gala will further illuminate BACC’s integral role and the global significance of Thai contemporary art. The event’s atmosphere is elevated by a stunning lighting design crafted by Index Creative Village, transforming the space to reflect the unique identity of the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre.
