The artist influenced by a multicultural experience from daily life, chose to use forms inspired by Thai architecture, reflecting virtues of people from the past. They were particularly impressed by the unique characteristics of Banjarong plasterwork. Thus =, they present the series “New Movements in Traditional Thai Arts” through the process of Benjarong plasterwork but have adapted it by using ready-made materials instead. Additionally, ready-made materials were imported from China online to symbolize the historical period when Thais imported Benjarong tiles, cups, plates, and bowls from China via trading ships for architectural use. This process of incorporating new elements into the old aims to reflect the changing global society, the phenomenon of the modern world, current contextual conditions, and the items and lifestyles prevalent today.
