The exhibition “A Beast of no Burden: สัตว์ไร้ภาระ”

“สัตว์ไร้ภาระ” (A Beast of no Burden) refers to the buffalo, a beast of burden that once dominated the rural landscapes of Thailand and other countries in Southeast Asia. It played a significant role, providing essential power and was considered a member of nearly every household, as well as an integral part of cultural heritage and tradition.

The arts featured in the exhibition consist of ceramic tiles adorned with unique patterns of hoof prints
to symbolize this animal. This reflects the collaborative exchange of knowledge in art creation and
design between the Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture, Rajamangala University of Technology
Lanna and Magdalena Abakanowicz University of the Arts Poznań.
