Open Call for Young Performance Artists
Workshop on Performance Art with Chumpon Apisuk is part of Chumpon Apisuk’s Lifeworld: An Archival Exhibition, organized by the Education Department, Bangkok Art and Culture Center, in collaboration with the Contemporary Art Promotion Fund, Office of Contemporary Art and Culture, Ministry of Culture. This is part of the broader research-based initiative, Archiving the Performance Art and Lifeworld of Chumpon Apisuk.
This workshop is designed to foster learning processes through the unique perspectives and experiences of Chumpon Apisuk, one of Thailand’s pioneering performance artists. Ten emerging performance artists selected for this program will participate in a profound exploration of performance art, engaging directly with Chumpon’s life and practice. Through hands-on experimentation and close artistic exchange, participants will gain valuable insights to inspire and enrich their creative practice.
Limited to only 10 participants.
Eligible applicants must be artists who are interested in the field of performance art. Participants must be able to communicate in Thai. There are no restrictions on age or educational background. Please submit a short CV and examples of your performance artworks. The documents should be compiled into a PDF file and include links to VDO documentation (if available) for consideration in the selection process.
