The artworks of exhibition with smoothed plaster bandages. The material is getting a special treatment, a smoothing by hand of the plaster-soaked fabric bands, resulting in a flat smooth surface. This smoothing and the more massive shaping of the objects mean that they appear calmer, clearer and stricter. This is List`s “Pure” technique. Kept monochrome and with four or more layers of plaster bandages on top of each other, the viewer can discover countless rooms with different depths and gradations of brightness
