50 YEARS: a milestone of solidarity with displaced people

For five decades, Thailand has stood at the juncture of historic refugee movements. From border camps to global resettlement to the ongoing displacement from Myanmar, hundreds of thousands asylum seekers have passed through its soil fleeing from persecution and, or war to save their lives. 

50 years: a milestone of solitary with forcibly displaced people bridges the past and the present, honouring the resilience of refugees, the generosity of Thailand manifested in the establishment of the Operations Center for Displaced Persons (OCDP), the commitment of UNHCR and the enduring solidarity of the international community. Together, these efforts reflect a half-century of shared responsibility and life-saving humanitarian action. .
