“Building Power, Fighting Back” is a project by the Clean Clothes Campaign, a global network of over 220 unions, civil society, women rights and activists groups, operating in 45 countries. We hold brands accountable for their abuse and exploitation while pushing for long-term change in the industry. Began in 1989 as a small group of activists in the Netherlands supporting garment workers in the Philippines, the exhibition will showcase the problem of the fashion industry like gender inequality, poverty wage and repression to freedom of association. Through photos, video testimonies and exhibits of campaigning props , we celebrate the journey of transnational worker struggle, collective action and solidarity.
