Communication technology has its progress and development.

‘Talap•g-r•ab’ looks back at how it changes over time, at least from the days of the telegraph (playfully referred to as ‘Ta Lap Gap’ in Thai, harping on the English word), which helps people connect over long distances, becoming indispensable to the modernizing society.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, however, when people’s close proximity is life and death, communication technology is no longer just for convenience: it has become necessary for survival.

‘Talap•g-r•ab’ reflects the conversations through a digital platform where drivers and users interact repeatedly. Although they are part of the same system, they have distinct roles, positions, and experiences. These relationships reflect convenience, vulnerability, interdependence, and imbalance that exist together in today’s urban life.

The exhibition invites visitors to reimagine these everyday conversations through personal experiences and reflect on how digital platforms are affecting social relationships, and where each of us fits into these conversations.
