Bangkok & Copenhagen Archive: Urban Memory in Transition

Explore the hidden histories of Bangkok and Copenhagen through a visual photography journey that captures the cities’ changing landscapes and enduring spirit.

Danish photographer, Ulf Svane, has captured historic neighbourhoods, meeting the people who keep these places alive, while documenting spaces at risk from rapid development, climate change, and gentrification. From local markets and cafés to small workshops and everyday meeting spots, these images preserve the stories, traditions, and character of cities in transition.

This exhibition invites you to reflect on the cities we live in today and the ones we want for the future. It’s a celebration of cultural memory, urban identity, and the spirit of place, reminding us why these stories are worth protecting for generations to come.
