GEN-F: Living in Fear amid Ecocide

SEA Junction presents the photo exhibition “GEN-F: Living in Fear amid Ecocide,” which explores today’s environmental crises through a perspective shaped by the anxieties of contemporary life. “Gen-F” does not refer to generational age groups like Gen X, Y, or Z, but rather “Generation of Fear” or a generation living under uncertainty and deep concern about a future defined by climate change and natural disasters. The exhibition conveys the emotions and lived experiences of people who must adapt to survive in increasingly toxic and degraded environments, where such conditions gradually become a new normal. The photographs highlight pressing environmental issues including PM2.5 air pollution, wildfires, toxic rivers, Mekong dams, floods, and earthquakes, reflecting the impacts of ecocide—the large-scale destruction of ecosystems that both humans and nature must endure. The exhibition features work by photographer Sayan Chuenudomsavad and is presented in partnership with Bangkok Tribune.
