A metropolisof encounters and musical creativity for everyone.
The Kita nakorn Music Metropolis project was initiated through the vision and commitment of the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre, under the support of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, in collaboration with artists, educational institutions, organisations, and independent collectives who recognize the importance of establishing a dedicated space for musical arts — a space that can meaningfully advance the contemporary music movement in Thailand.
Kita nakorn Music Metropolis serves as:
1) Showcase — Opening New Musical Horizons An open platform that embraces and gathers musical movements in all dimensions, allowing the public to access, experience, and stay connected with the ever-evolving currents of contemporary music in a continuous and profound way.
2) A Space for Inspiration and Exchange A gathering ground for music practitioners to share perspectives, engage in creative dialogue, and collectively redefine the meaning of “Thai contemporary music.”
3) A Stage for Creative Fellowship and Sonic Networks A space that fosters public awareness of the value of “crafted sound” — whether found in everyday life, popular culture, or experimental innovation — inviting audiences to embrace the aesthetics and emotional power of sound within the living pulse of the metropolis.
Can you hear it? The city is singing. Music resounds through the streets, inviting life to dance — carrying the sounds of our time into the hearts of people.
