School of Architecture and Design – Thesis Exhibition: ARC Degree Show 2026: Tea-sis
By School of Architecture and Design (SoA+D) KMUTT
The School of Architecture and Design (SoA+D) at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) has long been recognized for cultivating architecture students through a project-based learning approach that emphasizes critical thinking and real-world engagement. Throughout their academic journey, students are encouraged to experiment with their own architectural perspectives in response to contemporary issues. Tea-sis 2026, the annual architecture thesis exhibition, presents the culmination of this process. The idea of a teahouse, a space for gathering, exchange, and dialogue, inspires this year’s theme. Similar to a teahouse, where people from diverse cultural backgrounds come together to share ideas, the university serves as a platform for multicultural interaction, where architectural ideas are developed, discussed, and reinterpreted. The exhibition reflects the diversity of its students, who come from different cultural and social contexts, each bringing unique perspectives into their design approaches. Through their thesis projects, they address global and local issues such as environmental challenges, urban transformation, and cultural identity, while proposing visions for the future of architecture. More than a showcase of final works, Tea-sis 2026 aims to create an open space for conversation. It invites visitors to observe, engage, question, and exchange ideas with the next generation of architects.
