Performative Art Project #15
September – November 2026
At Studio, 4th Floor, Bangkok Art and Culture Centre
The Bangkok Art and Culture Centre, in collaboration with the Thai Performing Arts Community, presents a broad spectrum of performances centered on the theme of “Equality,” allowing artists to interpret the theme independently. The project aims to cultivate a creative platform for dialogue, the exchange of experiences, and the sharing of knowledge within the artistic community and with audiences. The program runs from September to November 2026.
This year, the 15th Performative Art Project (PAP15) begins its exploration of Equality through movement with “ขออย่าให้…เธอกล่าว from the Manifestations of the No-Country” by Sukanya Pheansri Jiwaphanchai, Kanyarat Yingsuwannachai, Pathipon (Miss Oat), Palita Sakulchaivanich, and Nicha Puranasamriddhi. Reflecting on womanhood, the performance invites audiences to explore the relationships between the body, memory, motherhood, and the history of being a woman in society. The project also features works by artists selected through the PAP open call addressing inequality, including “19Hz Mythity Mistic (ปรัมปรามายาหมอกในความถี่เสียง 19)” by Supamok Silarak, a Chiang Mai–based artist who combines vocals, music, songs, poetry, experimental sound, projected visual art, and expressive body movement to give voice to inequality in Thai society.
In the final phase of PAP15, “Bangkok Theatre Festival 2026 (BTF2026)” is presented in collaboration with the Bangkok Theatre Network, further enriching the Performative Art Project with a diverse range of contemporary performances while reinforcing the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre as a space for creativity and artistic inspiration.
The Bangkok Art and Culture Centre is pleased to play a part in supporting Thai performing artists by providing a platform to share their experiences through diverse forms of performances. It also remains committed to fostering dialogue on equality through contemporary artistic practice, ensuring that these conversations continue to advance.
