#BACC invites everyone to join “Landing Day”, a creative learning programme developed as an extension of the exhibition LOCAL MYTHS #2: Shifting Terrain. The programme opens up a space for people to gather, exchange ideas, and learn together through activities that connect art, people, nature, and local knowledge.
Inspired by the exhibition’s exploration of “Shifting Terrain” as a space of transition and the evolving relationships between people and their environment, “Landing Day” invites participants to move beyond simply viewing artworks and into active participation. Through hands-on workshops, experimental learning, conversations, and creative experiences, participants are encouraged to engage with the interconnectedness of art, nature, and everyday life.

Schedule
ECO Print Workshop
(Tananan Jaisawang)
11.00 – 14.00 hrs.
Participants are invited to explore the relationship between art, nature, and the environment through a creative process that allows nature to become a co-creator of patterns on fabric. This Eco Print workshop is developed in response to the artwork The River’s Hint, 2026, which reflects on the vegetation along the Kok River in Chiang Rai and invites audiences to consider the relationships between people, rivers, and environmental change. During the workshop, participants will become acquainted with a variety of plant species found along the Kok River before learning and experimenting with the Eco Print technique to create their own botanical textile print. By arranging plants on fabric, they will observe the unique colours, textures, and impressions gradually revealed through the natural printing process. Each participant will take home their finished piece, which can be used as a handkerchief or a head scarf.
Activity Conditions:
– Limited to 30 participants
(Open to participants aged 10 and above. Children under 10 are welcome when accompanied by a parent or guardian.)
– Please wear comfortable clothing suitable for movement and that can be stained by natural plant pigments.

Canal Clay Workshop
(Farmjodjum Art Space)
13.30 – 15.30 hrs.
Join this creative workshop and explore the process of making art with clay collected from a canal in Nakhon Pathom. Participants will experience a natural material that carries stories of place, local ways of life, and the changing landscapes shaped by urban expansion. Inspired by the artwork Landscapes in Transition, 2026, participants will experiment with clay while observing the unique characteristics of different types of soil as traces that preserve the memories and stories of a place. Through artistic practice, observation, and hands-on making, the workshop invites participants to exchange perspectives on the connections between humans and nature.

A Tasting Lab: Head to Tail
(Baan Noorg Collaborative Arts and Culture)
14.00 – 16.00 hrs.
Explore the story of “catfish”, a familiar ingredient deeply rooted in Thai ways of life, through an experimental tasting experience that challenges the conventional perception of catfish as merely a traditional food or inexpensive ingredient. In this workshop, participants will learn about local food preservation and transformation techniques by experimenting with unused parts of catfish from the cooking process, such as the head, tail, bones, and fins. These elements will be reinterpreted and transformed into new flavours to create a personalised rice seasoning blend. Participants will also design their own packaging containers using collage techniques, capturing the stories, memories, and perspectives inspired by this humble ingredient.

WUABI MILK to Soap Workshop
(Baan Noorg Collaborative Arts and Culture)
15.30 – 18.30 hrs.
Explore the transformation of natural materials through the process of turning milk into soap, creating a space for participants to learn about creative and sustainable approaches to resource utilisation. In this workshop, participants will discover the process of making soap from cow’s milk through hands-on practice and observation of the unique properties of natural materials. The activity invites participants to uncover the value of everyday resources and explore how they can be transformed and given new purposes through creativity.

Mini Skate : Beginner Skateboarding Class
(Baan Noorg Collaborative Arts and Culture)
15.30 – 18.30 hrs.
Children and young people are invited to experience the excitement of skateboarding while learning the fundamentals from experienced instructors on the mini ramp featured in Churning Skate (2026). Transforming an artwork into a space for learning, practice, and growth, this class welcomes both complete beginners taking their very first ride and young participants with previous skateboarding experience. More than just a skateboarding lesson, the programme encourages participants to build confidence, make new friends, and share experiences in a welcoming and supportive learning environment.
