This body of work explores the relationship between objects once perceived as broken, damaged, or “worthless” and the new values that can be created through acts of collecting and reassembling. The materials, such as fragments of wood, ceramics, bricks, and other natural elements are rooted in traditional craft practices. They not only bear traces of time, but also embody journeys of culture, ways of life, and the profound relationship between humans and nature. The work initiates a dialogue on sustainability through the histories and memories embedded in objects, inviting viewers to reconsider discarded natural materials within the context of a rapidly changing world. The concept emphasizes the aesthetic value of imperfection and the creation of “new life” from what once existed, reflecting an acceptance of the past alongside a mindful awareness of the present. This re-interpretation of conservation is not merely an act of honoring the past, but a preparation for understanding the future through artistic and design processes. These artworks function not only as aesthetic narratives, but are also designed to remain usable in everyday life, continuing their original roles. Ultimately, the work seeks to encourage viewers to recognize the value of overlooked details and to open themselves to new forms of creation that connect nature, conservation, and contemporary ways of living in harmony with today’s social context.
