Or maybe…
you read one just a few minutes ago.

In the lyrics you keep playing on repeat.
In a rap verse you know by heart.
In a caption that made you stop scrolling.
In a one-line status.
Or in an ordinary sentence someone wrote that somehow stayed with you.

We tend to imagine poetry as something that belongs in books — defined by certain forms, written in language that can sometimes feel distant.

But perhaps poetry never disappeared.

It simply changed its form, its sound, and the way it reaches us.

Poetry didn’t disappear. It changed its form.
