BACC Announcement

 



The Bangkok Art and Culture Centre Foundation has appointed Assistant Professor Pawit Mahasarinand as the new director of Bangkok Art and Culture Centre, BACC, as of 1st March 2018. 

Assistant Professor Pawit Mahasarinand has previously served on the BACC Sub-Committee for Arts Activities Department. He is currently the chairman of Silpathorn Award and National Artist Selection Committees (Performing Arts). He is a member of Southeast Asia Advisory Committee (SEAAC), Taiwan’s Ministry of Culture.

Assistant Professor Pawit Mahasarinand was awarded “chevalier de l’ordre des arts et des lettres” by France’s Ministry of Culture and Communication in 2014.

After obtaining his B.A. (1st class honours) from Chulalongkorn University, Assistant Professor Pawit went on to further his study and received M.A. from Northwestern University, on Fulbright scholarship and Asian Cultural Council (ACC) fellowship.

As the new director of Bangkok Art and Culture, Assistant Professor Pawit will be responsible for managing and overseeing Bangkok Art and Culture Centre’s overall administration, policy, mission and objectives under the guidance of the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre Foundation Board.
