Early Years Project #7 An Incubating Project for Young Artists Sponsored by Toshiba Thailand Co., Ltd., slides the door of experimentation and support to the rising artists, with Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (ฺBACC) has forged this ongoing project for 6 years. More than 80 chosen generational artists had already exhibited their masterpieces to the public eye. Early Years Project (EYP), established to embed and connect the artist’s network, readily emphasises on the exchange of dialogues between rising artists, committee, and any essential personnel who had managed and took this group exhibition forward professionally and efficiently. From the very first document of the project to the tangible performance as seen in the immaculate contemporary art exhibition, EYP caters versatile procedures for the artists-participants to write the proposal, input critical-analytical skills, and cradle the experiences of working with all sectors in terms of exhibition. It also encourages participants to bloom cross-disciplinary knowledge, enhance the ability to ponder criticism, weave the relationship between rising artists and key actors in the contemporary art industry, and make the practical decisions on any obstacles gusting along the process.
Young talented artists joined one of the most significant procedures to propose the name, “Early Years Project #7: “A change in the paradigm”; a change in perspective, contemporary art’s representation through their attitudes and beliefs laces together with the modern context of the dramatically changing and complicated world. EYP#7’s artists present their artworks through the language of contemporary art synthesised from social phenomenal, beliefs, education, and technology, rooted from novel facets of how ones view the world. They also explore some creative manifestations to portray art and diverse tools selected meticulously, reflecting the thinking method raised against the quintessential paradigm of art in the past. All artists get their chance to propose the critical solutions pertaining to the surrounding context to which they fuse the passion to prelude art, opening the curtain for audiences to think and bloom new possibilities in this contemporary art world.
This exhibition, Early Years Project #7: “A change in the paradigm,” therefore, mirrors indefinite identities of beings and the rising talents’ collection of experiences and ultimately the novel facet through EYP #7’s contemporary artworks by emerging artists.
