Performative Art Project #14

At Studio, Bangkok Art and Culture Centre

Bangkok Art and Culture Centre, in collaboration with the performing artists network, meticulously curates a series of performances intended to foster a space for the exchange of knowledge, ideas, and experiences, while initiating dialogue between artists and audiences in the field of performing arts. These performances will take place from August to November2025.

For 14 consecutive years, Performative Art Project has been actively fostering artistic creation and exchange. This year, we are pleased to present artists selected through the PAP2025 Open Call — a platform that provides space and funding support to empower performing artists to take part in the Project. Featured works include “ด้วยความอคติและความเกลียดชัง With Pessimistic and Hateful” by Pathipon (Miss Oat), “PainKiller: Test02 ‘Human-Extension’” by Thongchai Pimapunsri in collaboration with Laphonphat Doungploy (QuackLab / DuckUnit), and “DAYDREAM – The Music Cycle for Bangkok Retreat, Emptiness and Trance” by Pongtorn Techaboonakho. Under the theme “Borderless,” artists are invited to interpret the concept in their own expansive and boundless ways to ignite new dialogue and shared experiences with the audiences.

Additionally, the Project collaborates with blurborders international performance art eXchange 2025, where international artists gather to perform under the theme “HumanTouch มนุษยสัมผัส”. It also features performances from Bangkok Theatre Festival presented by the Bangkok Theatre Network, which unites diverse contemporary performing arts to not only enrich this initiative but also create a space where creativity and inspiration flourish.

Bangkok Art and Culture Centre takes the utmost pleasure in supporting Thai performing artists who consistently create and share their experiences through diverse forms of performance, helping to energise the performing arts scene and foster a creative space for future artistic exploration.
